    Evening Hike-a-Bike

I went for a short-ish road ride this morning, but by the afternoon I really wanted to go for a MTB ride too, so I did. It was hot today, around 100, so I waited until about 5:30 before heading out.

I rode in an area of Tucson called Tucson Mountain Park. I swear there must be a vortex there because half the time I ride there I get semi-lost, or dumped out in some neighborhood. Today I took a different tack: A leisurely ride, exploring trails I know I've never been on, just to get a sense of where they go. Lots of U-turns. One of the trails turned into a steep, narrow rock garden that no human that I've met could possibly ride up. It was neat - I wish I had time to explore it more. But alas, the sun was setting... I said later to the rabbits and quail, and headed home.
