That thing is really sick !!!

I have a fetish for alternitive powered bikes , have you guys ever seen a Denali ?
There made by Eli Schless pretty similer to that bike but there electric powered !
The frames design looks pretty similer , there are a few other mad fab shops that make bikes like that , but thats the first hydrogen powered dh/moto bike .

    Funny it comes with a shiver , can I upgrade to a 888 ?

yah, a hydrogen powered bike would be pretty cool. anything powered by hydrogen would be cool. this is how it starts i guess. honda got it's start making a little combustion engine that bolted onto a bike.

it exhausts water, it doesnt run on it. I dont think we'll be seeing a hydrogen distribution system anytime soon tho

maybe in europe. they're making an effort to become a renewable resource economy. i think they set a goal of 40% renewable by 2015, implimenting hydrogen as a way to store energy.

looking at the prototype pics, i like the look of the exposed frame better than the sculpted body panels. it's cool that it's based on a bike chassis and components.

...unless you happen to live in Iceland. But that whole country practically floats on the stuff.

that sweet ride also has some Hope Mono6ti brakes and Vanilla RC rear suspension. Looks like good stuff. Most companies skimp on brakes and suspension when it comes to projects like this -- they just are out to prove their engines.

Wonder what other bike parts are on that thing?

I'll bet at least the rims and tires are MTB related.

supposedly the diesel engine was designed to run on biodiesel from the very inception.
then the oil greased politicians took over.

makes sense considering its agricultural origins.

I'm not sure which would be worse during one of those ugly bonks - getting a blast of regular diesel exhaust or getting a blast of diesel exhaust that smells like fries.

Lots of diesels in Quebec? I commute into work on the CX bike several times a week and some days it seems like every other car is diesel. Just another reason to avoid road riding...

so just thinking outloud here, basically this bike is driven by an electric motor that is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. the fuel cell works by combining hydrogen with oxygen, which releases electricity and heat when mixed. you can even drink the h2o by product. no fosil fuels and no combustion, assuming fosil fuels aren't used in the production of hydrogen. that is way cool.
