ELK TRAIL Montucky style - Pre-action trail pictorz!

I've been working on this trail since June, and some of the big stunts are about ready to be shredded. Who says there's nothing to ride in Montana??? Here's some pics of most of the big stunts (sans a 30 foot step down and a 12 foot rock drop). The trail is about halfway done, so there's lots more to come. My buddies and I are going to do a film/video shoot on Thursday, so look for some action shots Thursday evening.

Drop near the bottom of the trail (so far). Just completed this one yesterday. Bout a 75 degree hip to the left, and about a 15 drop.

    Another angle

    One more angle

Little skinny line on the upper trail. Bout a five foot hip gap off the end, leading into the step-up to ladder gap.

Front shot of step-up to ladder gap

Rear angle of the step-up ladder gap

Front angle of the step-up ladder gap. I think its about a 10 foot drop by 20 foot gap. Don't worry, I cut off the impaler posts sticking out of the landing.

    One more from the top

    Skinny to teeter-drop

Thanks man. This trail has been quite a learning experience for me. I've definitely dialed some stunts a bit better the farther down the trail I get. I've been trying to use more natural logs instead of a bunch of ugly 2x4's. I had a giant pile of lumber donated though, so I figured I should use it.

My buddy is producing a local vid with this trail in it. If he lets me get my hands on the footage of the Elk Trail, I will edit a short flick for you guys.

So where the hell are you (just general area if you don't want to say where the trail is)? I'm in Anaconda. Your profile says Ashland, OR but last I checked Montana hadn't invaded and annexed Oregon.

    Killer Job Man,

I see two things: Cut the tops of the logs off the landing of your ladder to drop. They are just asking for some one to hit them. Also what does the trail look like above the first pic on your run in? Just wondering if you'll have enough speed to get up that ladder?

I already cut off the impaler posts (I wrote that above the pic so people wouldn't worry). Also, I reconstructed that first drop so the ladder isn't so steep. Should be perfect now. Gonna go hit it up today, so look for a photo post tonight!
