Elixir CR Lever + Code Caliper

Elixir CR Lever + Code Caliper

Has anyone tried combining elixir cr levers with the code calipers? Seems like it would be the best of both worlds. Lighter than full code, more modulation - adjustments than juicy's, not to mention the sweet looks of the new elixir lever body. Aside from the obvious cost of buying two brake sets ie (code 5 for calipers and Elixir CR for lever body) what do you guys think?

Why?? They work excellent as is.

Get codes or 09 saints if you want more power.

If your trying to save weight go for formula the one.

you wouldn't have to buy 2 brakesets, you'd have to buy 2 elixer levers, 2 code calipers, lines, fittings, brake fluid and a bleed kit.

I've been considering doing it myself actually. The power of a code and the lever feel of an elixir would be pretty awesome.

I already have a set of code 5's so that would be sweet if to only need the lever bodies. Any idea where to get elixir lever bodies? I haven't found any.

elixir bodies arent in the supply chain yet i dont think. usually, if they're on BTI, they'll be available everywhere else. give it while, im sure you'll be able to get them eventually. people have been doing juicy/code combo for a while.

I was wondering the same thing, actually. Same power, more modulation = best brake around.
    Meh.

I'm running Code 5s now so the next logical step would be to order some Elixir CR levers. I COULD however just buy the CR complete brake set, and do a swap with the CR calipers onto the Juicy 5 levers and throw those on the trail bike (got Hayes Soles--Sloes on there now)...
