getting ready to shuttle up the mountain...EIO thought I was going too fast, then Hozzer drove up the second time....I was laughing so hard. I said to WCH if he thought my driving was fast wait till hozzer starts driving up (hozzer is not happy unless one guy pukes on the way up). Sure enough you can see EIO hitting his imaginary brake on the floor and gripping hard on the Oh shiat handles...that didn't last long enough because EIO's prayers were answered when a slower truck was in front of Hozzer....damm I was laughing so hard

These idiots think they're Luke Skywalker running those narrow canyon roads.

I hate heights, so someone above was looking out for me when they put that truck in front of Hozzer. Halleluiah!

BTW, to set the record straight, I was bracing for impact NOT hitting the "imaginary brake"......

Looks like fun terrain, I bet you guys come across rattlers alot. When I was stationed at Naval Air Station Moffett Field in the Bay Area I used to ride this spot between Los Gatos and SC. I forget the name of it but they had some fun jeep trails to bomb down and climb for excersize. On the jeep trail they had dug out huge trenches to keep 4x4'ers away and had piled the dirt in front of the holes for the down direction. I used to get clippin around 30mph on my xc bike and clear the trenches. On my last trench before I rounded the corner I was in mid air when Iooked down and spotted a huge rattler stretched across the whole trail.(It covered the whole lane of the jeep trail, had to have been 5-6 ft long and a good Cali size burrito thick. I landed and almost ate it into the bushes from the scare in mid air. Skidded to a stop, went back up and was curious to see how fast those things are. So I picked up a small pebble, tossed it near it and before I could blink the thing was coiled and ready to strike, it was one of those moments that you really feel like your in the "here and now" lol.. to say the least. I watched it slither off into the bushes and warned all the bikers on my way out.

I'm not a big fan of snakes, reptiles, or bugs. Poisonous bites aint cool in my book.

Sick terrain, looks like Cali alright!

we saw a real nice rattler on saturday...sunning itself on the trail...he was all black with about 7 rattles on the end. I threw rocks on him and he wouldn't move...finally after 4 minutes he shook his tail and was off....still freakee when I rode by that spot

Yeah, everytime I rode at that spot after that sighting, I would be extra careful where I stopped to pee. I think I'd be sportin the Alpinstar Tech 8's for the DH runs out there lol, that way you know your safe from bites, unless you wreck into a bush of em.

When doing trail maintenance at our rattlesnake infested local trail in west Texas, here's what I wear...LOL!...Motocross boots and snakebite chaps. It's nothing to run over a rattler or two on a 12 mile ride on this trail. We've killed some 4-5 footers and saw a 6 footer that got away. We try to let 'em be, but the ones who hang around the parking lot, or the really big ones, get the 9mm pill.

That tool of the devil is strictly for convicts and prison road gang workers!...LOL. Try using one of those with rocks scattered all within the weeds you're trying to cut...Claaaang!...trip to the dentist to reinstall fillings. With the exception of riding a bicycle, why would any civilized human use primitive caveman tools and hard labor when you can fire up a modern fossil fuel burning power tool to get the job done.
