    Dilemma

Parents are starting to wonder what I want for christmas, and I am considering a few things. Here are my options...

50cc moto. (Have wanted one for a while to tool around on, get around town... Have never had anything motorized so it really appeals. And no I will not be trashing any DJ's with it...) Its relatively cheap.

New Gear- 5050xx pedals, 5.10 shoes, TLD shorts/shirt (Plus extra shizzle...)

Rock Shox Pike/chopped 36 van to 80mm + some gear- I need a new fork for my HT, Not feelin the DJ1. But the other two are very appealing...

    WWJD?

I would get the 50. Second would be fork. Third would be the gear.

dont get the 50cc, it is dumb and will become useless. your very tall and it is very uncomfortable to sit on one. Plus you will probally end up pissing of people and it will get taken away. Get the fork!

Yet I can still fit fine... It wont get taken away. It will be too fast.

Instead due to my connections i may get a chopped 36 rather than the pike...

36 van isn't really that much of an improvement weight wise, mabye a couple of pounds (i think)..... get the pike, or a sherman jumper.50's are stupid. get a motox bike.

get a pike, you will like it, a 50cc will be fun but you will get tired of it, and some old lady will call the cops on you if you ride on the road alot.

    Go with the fork.
The 50 is stupid, if your that tall you'll throw about 1800.00 into it. You will go with taller bars, then a rear shock, front forks, big bore, carburetor, Dont wast your money!

The only thing i would do is bmx bars. Im 6'.

JJ, the 36 is a huge improvement. The DJ1 is 8#s, the 36 is sub 6. And its MUCH shorter and I will actually get more than 1.5 inches of travel...

I considered getting a 50 for while so I could train for MX at home because there is no room for a big bike track. As far a riding around town that's just gonna get you in trouble with the police. If you do go for it though. Do it right if you can. Get a Honda CRF50 or Yamaha TTR50 and build it up. No matter what the ads say none of the Chinese knock off bikes can compare to these when it comes to longevity and if you have the time and money these are the best platforms to start with. Good Luck.

Really, i know NOTHING about motorcycles. Ive only ridden them enough to know that most bikes shift down one then up two... I promise you, it WOULD stay stock, im too poor for that anyway with my MTB habit... (I would still get the other two options most likely, just would have to work them off after words...)And I DO have a place to ride it (Shhhh, its illegal but the only other people back there are Mountain bikers and hikers and they sure couldent catch me...)

Im not gunna ride it hardcore around town, just to and from friends houses when my parents wont drive... Oh, and I understand you have to go all out, I would NEVER buy a knock off. It would definitely be a honda/yamaha/suzuki/ktm/husqvarna/kawasaki... I have driven by one in Avon that seems pretty nice. Looks like a kids race bike... Im gunna check it out, $600.

I say get a Vanilla R instead of 36, AND the TLD Shtuffz + pedals

only would work if ur hub can convert from 20mm to 9mm.

I really need to put a love seat on my new bike. So I can be an all out huckzor.

BTW, i can get the x ups without the bow legs. I was turning the bars the wrong way, my arms dont click as well that way...

hmmm i think they actually have a conversion kit......you would have to call them........

MSRP on Vanilla is around $400. 36 van in $800? before you do that crazy cutting job, altho that would be pretty sick.

Man that 50 would be super fun, but all the times i go mx with my buddies i have a blast, but then 8 hrs later i am like i have had enuf for a few weeks.

your call, it all sounds rockin.

I personally want a Nicolai BMXTB Race frame, or easton havoc wheelset, or talas/float RLC.

Too bad they all cost an arm or leg.
