Im probably going. I cant wait, especially after all the previews from diablo on ridemonkey. Did you see that new wooden kicker??? New trails, stunts, events, i cant wait, been waiting all winter.
Still not sure though cuz i sprained my thumb and it still hurts, so my parents might not let me go.

whats the weather like/suposed to be like?
weather channel says "showers", but they cant be trusted.

If so how does diablo do in the rain? I dont mind riding when its wet but I would be affraid to drive down there to find it closed.

Right now it looks like rain. I can't say I've ridden there in the rain, but I'd definitely steer clear of any wooden stunts in the rain. I guess we'll all have to see what happens weatherwise as the day approaches. So far I think me and the other guys are headed up, we'll see....

I've been there in the rain and it is certainly interesting but not too bad. They were open last year in the rain as long as it isn't thundering/lightning or crazy windy. As said above... I would steer clear of anything wooden in the rain and the rocks are pretty hairy but thats just makes it interesting. I'm going rain or shine.

It's almost too far for me to drive there. I can drive to diablo ride and drive home. To go to platty I have to stay over and drive home the next day. Believe me, I definitely was considering it.

I haven't been this excited for something in a very long time.

Anybody know if they're going to update the trailmap with the new runs?

Haha, yeah I guess I wasn't really worried that I wouldn't find em. I'm probably going to be staring at the map a lot over the next few days and wanted to plan routes. Yes, I'm probably more geeked than I should be about this.

I'll be there with a crew of 12 from Boston. We're planning on staying the weekend but may cut out early if the rain gets nasty. It's my first time going. Is there enough to ride if it's raining?

I hadn't heard about new trails, anyone got the scoop?

also, I'll be there this weekend and next but I don't have a place to stay.
I'm planning on sleeping in my van, but I'm looking for other options.

Anyone got a good squatters campground in the area?

Well as far as I know there are two new trails, Greenhorn and Salvation. Greenhorn is supposed to be a beginner's DH trail, and I'm not sure about salvation, but that big wooden kicker that someone posted in this thread is from that trail.
