    Diablo opening weekend...who's in?

Heading up Saturday night to ride on Sunday, who's going? The new features are shaping up nicely, I haven't seen them posted here yet so...

    Thirteen foot drop.

    Crank it Up east?

    Cannon Jump.

There's also talk about a new "natural" DH trail that'll utilize parts of old Evil Bob.

I will most likely be there. I'm tired of shuttling. I might not go if it's really wet though.

Yup. They're open weekends through July 3th and then every day through Labor Day.

    Diablo Operating Hours

JFYI, there is a Gravity Series race the weekend of May 16th, which may close or re-route some trails depending on the layout of the race course.

They will prolly end up filling in the "gaps" and covering all those rocks used to build the landing with dirt, well that's what they usually do and are very good at. Most everything at diablo is usualy very safe - well everythign typically is. Obviously there is always imminent danger in dropping off something 10 feet high tho lol. But yea definate props to Diablo for putting an over 10' initial drop in finally, and that cannon jump looks hella legit. And more props for putting in a natural trail this year, they were starting to lack in that with all the stunt trails put in last year.

My friends want to go to Snowshoe this season but these pictures offer pretty compelling arguments for Diablo

Will be up there Sunday. Looks like perfect conditions too. Diablo is always great the day after it rains. The mountain drains well, and it ensures un-dusty conditions the next day.

Last may was terrible. Dominion and Alpine were closed every day but opening day, til sometime in June because it was soggy every weekend.
