    Weight, interface, durability, stiffness, length, compatibility.

    I like the Saints. Outboard bearing. It doesn't use the tapered spindle like the RaceFace cranks do. The RaceFace crank/spindle interface tends to wear out. The Shimano pinchbolts are super nice. And the Saints are relatively light weight. And they're available in the wider BB widths and in multiple lengths as well as single, double, or triple setup.

    I prefer 170 cranks, little bit less leverage, but they get snagged less through the rock gardens.

    cranks

    what do you consider when picking a new set of cranks? specifically how do you figure size? 165, 170? etc? thanks

    so would there be a prob running a set of 165's? realize i would sac leverage but i can live with that, wont be racing the WC with it.

    most people in our area run 170's.....I personally like the simplicity and strength of the Shimano Saints
    the trick is ENJOYING YOUR LIFE EACH DAY, don't waste them away wishing for better days
