    Crank bros acid

Has anyone had any experience with these pedals? I haven't heard much about them. I used to use CB mallets for DH, but I do a lot of freeride as well, but I'm kinda sketched about FR in clips. So for DH and maybe freeride(?), how are these pedals compared to the mallets? I notice that they're much lighter.

they're lighter and although they have a platform, its slick. so, more support than a candy, but just as much grip. id just ride the mallets. i love my mallets and they can even be ridden with skate shoes for jaunts around town. plus, when clipped in, they are very secure.
