Hey Dogon, that's what you get for making me ride solo at Dominican on Sat (J/K). So did you end down the paved road after Mile cuz I didn't see you come through Boy Scout. I seen your van at the bottom then I pushed back up boy scout for another session. Was there til about 4:30 and yur van was gone when I came back down.

Anyways had a great time and met some peeps from the forums. Of course since i'm completely terrible with names i've already forgotten a most of the names (don't take offense it's my abused mind). Met a local couple with a pair of white Blitz II's from the boards and their new baby that showed up after Foggy and his group took off. I'd be down for another session next week. I have tons of fun riding whenever I go to Pacifica.

Nice pics, I rode Pacifica the last time I was in the City. I wish we could tell how steep the section looks up top. We didn't have enough day light when we went, so we only rode the first section prior to going up to the crack....

The 2nd pic in the 2nd posting is a pretty good xample. The 1st drop, top pic, in is steeper than the rest but the shots were a little bright. The pics are pretty much from the top down.

    Boy Scut pics

Olive and I tagged along with Tina while she sessioned Boy Scout. Tina's just getting back to riding after the baby and breaking her arm last November.

First pic is the runway. Second pic is at the meadow.

    Are you in the valley?
You ride Oat Hill on trail bikes or push DH rigs up that biotch?
I won't be inviting myself along next weekend, but I have a feeling I'll be hitting Oat Hill a lot for the next year.

Ahhhhh the Crack, home of the posion-oak-drop-to-chute-of-itchy-death (I'm refrering to the first drop on the trail that shoots you out into a 60 foot overgrown "tunnel"). Those pictures don't make it look even half as vertical as it really is.

I'm using a Nikon CoolPix 5400 at 1/1000 sec on shuttle-priority mode with spot metering and high-speed multi-shot. The auto stuff does the aperture. I don't like to use a flash, so it's difficult to shoot at Boy Scout. Pics are murky and gloomy, except every now and then I get a good one.

I posted a ride for this weekend here but no one wanted to go. Possibly next weekend either sat or sun, just want to drive up with others instead of wasting gas on myself. I'll see what i can do if you want to ride the 23 or 24, whats your best date

the drops on crack are about 3 and 4 foot....

for those who have never riden crack/ it is about a 20-30min push-up and a 2 min down.
it is a great ride - and the drops are rollable or have ways around.
it is a great trail to learn how to stay off the breaks and let your suspension do it's job.

any saturday or friday afternoon anyone wants to hit it i would be thrilled to ride.

    The crack

I have been up and down it a few times, if you don't like to push your 45+lbs bike up the crack (sucks) you can just ride around the back, it takes longer but at least you don't have to lift your damn bike straight up 5 times.

no no - no need to do that - i know that a ft is messured differantly by many ppl.

i just don't want to scare anyone away - cause it aint all that bad - that was my only intent.
