I was going to be there...but my bike is super ****ed and I don't feel like driving to gnar-cal and possibly having the race called off.

Luc said something about a rain date if the weather sucks this year. That's the only mention of it I've heard though.

I know registration is closed/full so if you haven't already signed up, you're out of luck anyway.

    .
I'm pretty sure that they said they are going to go forward with it this weekend and not use the rain date. I'm not 100% sure though.

So is the trail clay? Will it be a nasty slide fest? Don't lie.

    Not from the course...

...this was from a local trail, same soil, after 2 days without rain. It's raining now, plus Sat so CHDH will be slick no matter how you look at it.

FYI to all the riders this weekend: I work in Tracy (not far from Carnegie) and it was raining when I left this aftenoon. Tomorrow says about 40% chance of showers.

I'm going with madmax. I won't be racing. Probably just standing there and taking crappy pictures while making fun of some little punk named Cameron.

    EDIT:
I will also be there with my arsenal of frames and parts for sale. So bring lots of money to buy my stuff so I can have a bike by Sea Otter.

Saturday might be wet, but Sunday is looking to be perfect. Check the weather for Livermore. I'll be there on the red v10.

Here's a couple shots from the dig days in sunny February.

sat morning was wet. sat afternoon, very windy, much carnage on the jumps with the cross winds, course drying out. Sunday: sunny, no wind, dry course except for one puddle near the bottom. Thanks to RideSFO for the good race, and thanks to Passion Trail Bikes in Belmont for the refreshments !! You guys should have come!
