Converting QR Hope Pro 2 to bolt on?

Now that I've got a 20mm fork in the front it seems natural to try and find something stiffer for the rear hub as well. Is there a bolt on axle kit? Right now it's just quick release, 135mm. What all is entailed in the conversion? I assume some kind of cups in the hub itself have to be changed out? Will I gain enough stiffness to make this worthwhile?

You'll need to switch the axle, here's the CRC page. I run the bolt-on on my Big Hit and it's plenty stiff. The Allen interface on the bolt-head is a little soft, in my opinion, so invest in a couple of top quality 6mm Allen keys, or be prepared to replace the bolts every once in a while.

Here's a video from Hope describing how to dismantle the hub...

Thanks for the link. Do I order 10mm or 12mm?

If you're currently using a QR, I expect that you have 10mm dropouts. Which frame do you have?

2005 Kona Coiler. Wish I could convert it to a true through axle! Figured bolt on would be the next best thing.

A similar question... only for the front Hope Pro 2 hub.

Is it possible to somehow adapt one for a 9 mm thru-bolt, like DT Swiss RWS? Hope doesn't yet make an adapter kit. But I think it may be possible to get a Hope Pro 2 front QR adapter kit, remove the protrusions that go into the fork dropouts and drill out 9 mm holes through the center of each adapter. Am I correct?

I think I have heard of people doing that but I really don't have any details about it.

Stupid me. I should just have googled it up:

From that thread, it turns out that Hope is going to make 9 mm thru-bolt end caps very soon.
