    The Collective

Hey I just watched the collective for the first time and loved it just wondering if anyone else has seen it?! Tyler Klassen and Steve Romaniuk are awsome Romaniuk can rip. Of course I have seen every single Drop In episode.. Just rambling again... Sorry!! The only thing I was hoping that it would be longer. But other than that I would recommed watching it.

Yeah, it's really awesome. Just the way they put it all together was sweet. I think it is going to set a new standard for the future of mountain bike films.

I agree, it's a really good film. Not only is the cinematography awesome, but it's pretty inspring, too. It makes you want to go out and ride immediately after watching it.

I like how they were able to set it up with the cables to be able to follow the rider for a longer period of time..

Very artsy video and good riding too..two thumbs up...plus I think it was filmed in 16mm...which adds a cool look to it...

I agree it is a good video and the riders are awsome, but I'm still liking "NWD 4 ride the lightning" better. cant wait till #5 comes out.

Yes it was a great video....very professional. Hcor did an in depth review on it here that sums it up well:

Altho i haven't seen Collective yet, I gotta say that I really wasn't impressed with NWD 4. It just got real repetitive for me. Some of the riding was sweet and so were some of the shots, but as an over all package it was rather blahh. Maybe it was the music, maybe it was the use of the same shots over and over. I shouldn't talk when the videos I have made have been kinda lame. Just want to see more creativity, and less rampage, cheesy "plots" (NWD 1, wtf was up with the whole preacher thing?) and zip cams.

its good to hear that ime not the only one who thinks that was weird considering that it had nothing to do with biking other than they stole a bike i guess they where just trying to copy kranked with the whole random skit idea (like on kranked 3 i think where during the movie it had clips of that biking video game and at the end the kid gets a rm7)

Yeah its kinda like the plot from a porno in NWD 1. I guess it could be officially considered bike porn due to the totally bad and unrelated plot, then the nice plug for the kona frame there at the end. Maybe they edited very heavily and we missed the point, or maybe there really wasnt a point to it and kona just wanted exposure for sponsering the movie. I don't know. what ever it was it was kinda lame.

I haven't seen The Collective yet but I'm looking forward to seeing it soon. My favorite movie of all time is Ride to the Hills. That movie is just classic, it sets the standard for all mtb riding films for me. I also liked Kranked 5, NWD4, Manifesto, the Dropin Series, and one of the most underrated films out there Plush 2. Plush 2 rocks!!! It is everything else all other films leave out. It fills in the cracks, covers real events never shown, over an hour long (plus over an hour of bonus footage), and is just straight riding with no special effects to glamorize it.
