    Cheapish Freeride Bar

I just bent the piss out of the bar on my bike, and need a new one. I'm thinking the RaceFace Evolve DH, but might get an Answer ProTaper too, if there is justification for spending the extra coin. I'm welcome to other suggestions too. What do you guys reccommend?

Yeah, I understand that. How well do you think the Evolve DH will hold up? Is is weak enough for me to buy something stronger? I'm pretty small, and not all that hard on parts.

    25.4mm

I also should add that I'd prefer a 1" rise over something bigger.

Yep Pro-Tapers all the way. 3y warranty for bends and brakes. Strong as F$#$, Go-Ride.com. (The Oversized are even stronger)

As WCH said no reason to be a "cheap bastard with your parts".

Buddy has them and he likes them. There not as stronger as the Pro's but they are still good. (and they have pretty little flames)

You don't think they're as strong as the Pros? They're 160g heavier, and they have 1.5" of rise. They also cost the same. Hmmmm.... Answer ProTaper in 1" rise, black it is then. I would have gotten gold, but they're out of stock.

Well IMO. It's how they are put together. Pro's have that Taper Tec. which is strong as hell (say 35-45% stronger then Conv. bar, prob. BS) and the Diablos don't and compensated it with more Material. (Heavier/Thicker)

I don't think they have a Three-year Warranty either. For the extra $15. it's good to know that you don't have to buy bars again for three-years no matter what happens.

Yes, it is all in the construction. That wasn't supposed to sound like "They're heavier, they must be stronger." I realize now that it did though. The warranty is nice, but my only reservation is width. They're 2cm shorter than my current bar. I'll probably go with them in the end, but I'm still trying to decide.

I know I said I'd get the ProTaper earlier, but I was misremembering the width of my current handlebar.

It looks nice, but I can't get it at wholesale, so that's a big minus for it. I'm going to get an Answer ProTaper. And I really mean it this time.
