I run a Heim 3Guide on my Bullit and it works perfectly. I run it using 2 rings and a bashguard. You can use this guide with 3 rings as that is what it was really designed for. Heim makes a 3 ring bashguard that is pretty sweet too. I've never dropped a chain. Prior to getting this guide I dropped my chain fairly often on rough downhill sections.

I ran an Evil DRS on my Bullit, fitted on fine using the same 113/68 BB.

BlackSpire Dewlie with 2003 Shimano XT hollowtech crankarms & BB, works like a charm.

    it's a 2002.5 Bullit, same config as 2004

Screw the Heim. Weyvoless has one on his Weyless. He lost his chain to the OUTSIDE Saturday during one of his race runs....

I run an MRP LRP w/ 2 rings and bash gaurd.

Did 3 race runs and 3 practice runs, never lost the chain once. Pretty good for a 2 ring set up.

Bumping an old thread instead of making a new one.

I dont have a lot of money to buy the evil DRS but I am having problems keeping my chain on. I looked today at my bottom bracket area and the chain did a number on the paint in that area as well as trashed some of the aluminum down there.

My question is this, will the HEIM 3Guide help me from losing my chain towards the inside, ie droping it off the smallest ring onto the frame/bottom bracket area? or is mostly for helping to stop losing the chain towards the outside biggest ring?

I read the mix reviews on this item and its only like 60 buxs at pricepoint so I am very interested in this item. BTW its going on a 2 ring setup with a bashguard on a bullit.

I run a Heim bracket w/ a MRP LRP roller - total cost was like $75. I don't like the Heim roller, doesn't like too much back pedalling.

Considering a DRS for it when it 'goes trail'

This might be hard to see in the pictures but I have had good luck with a TruVative single speed crank that had a small bashguard on the outside of the ring that I moved to the inside with the help of several washers and added a Dangerboy bashguard to the outside. I have yet to drop the chain once and I'm not even running a roller. I guess this doesn't help if you plan on running more than one ring but I just wanted to share.
