A-C height of Shiver DC vs Monster

Does anyone know the axle to crown lengths of the Shiver DC and older Monsters (Pre 2003). I am considering switching from a Shiver to an 02 Monster on my Foes Fly. Thanks

This is my third Shiver, I changed the oil and set it up the way I like. However, the left seal is leaking, the top caps don't have air bleeder screws, the fork has that weird 15mm of sag with no weight on it, and I just dented the uppers. It's one of the 15 special edition Shivers produced. Pretty pissed about it, Snowshoe is in just over a week so I need a functioning fork. Monsters seem to be the cheapest choice.

send it back to mars and get the screws for the air bleed....get the uppers fixed....The 02 monster T is the same size...for ride height

A friend has Shiver seals, is it difficult to change the seals on these forks? I have taken the fork apart before, just never messed with the seals.

I've seen some kind of Marzocchi slider protector and seal press online, are these really necessary to change the seals? Also, would it be wise to drill holes in the top cap and thread it screws so I can bleed off the air? I remember air built up like crazy in my other Shiver.

do you know if the lower crown can be moved up at all to increase the A-C height? I'd be riding the Monster temporarily until I can get the stuff together to fix my Shiver.

Mine has a line marked there for maximum height, and that's where I run it...the near 22" measurement that I gave you.

hmm, i guess that knocks the Monster out of my options. Maybe a 170MM 66RC then. Not sure I want 170MM in the front with 200MM in the back though.

i changed the seal, still leaking. I called Zoke and they informed me the seal was originally installed upside down (I installed the new one the same way the old one was installed). So I am flipping it and I will see how it does.
