    Buying a new bike. how does this build look

    Ok well to start i have the choice of building up a bike or buying an stp2. my limit is a 1000 au which is about 850us. tell me what u think of this build and what needs changing. also this will be used for jumping downhill trails and riding to places

    or should i just get and stp

    oh my bad bit overpriced there i will get cheaper wheels and derauilers

    Consider whether you really need to run a front derail..

    And since you're on a budget, have you checked out the Specialized P.series bikes as far as dirt jumping goes. Most are well within your price range and get you better components too. Maybe the Giant STP, too.
