No good Broken arm, out for half of the saeson

So yesterday i was riding around and getting used to my new hardtail by doing a few small drops, and it just hapend that i was ridinh a ledge and my front tire fell off and my hand smacked into a pole and bent my arm 80 degrees up. the minute after the crash it was hard for me to belueve that its real but then i realized thers nothing i could do about it so i just sat and waited for the ambulance. yoni, Master Jako has a pic of it with his cell phone if he emails it to me ill post it up. Monday im going back to see how the bones are coming together and thers a good chance ill need surgery. So the cast is gona be on for at least 6 weeks and after it comes off the doctors said it will take some time for it to be able to take preasure without pain. We forgot to get a copy of the exrays but both bones on the forearm are completly broken. the only good thing is that i have expireanced the worse and its not as bad as i expected. Worst thing is i had plans to go to creek this sat and was counting the days for 2 months and 3 days before it i fquck up my arm

    that sucks man.
try and find something productive to do with your down time, or you'll go insane.
maybe you could take pictures of master jako, or assist or something like that.

that blows yo. season was jsut getting started. broken arms suck big time too. i gave my self a second elbow a couple years ago, super gross. only pain was when they set it though so that was cool. good luck yo, he'll up fast and dont do anything dumb once you get your cast off. last thing you want is to end up in the same situation again, only next time it'llbe much worse

Doh! I did the same thing except it was my tib/fib, left leg. That was 10 weeks ago and I still have a cast on. Get some calcium pills, or better yet get Cal Matrix, it's supposed to be awesome for healing bones but it's $50 for a bottle that will last you a month. My chiropractor recommended it for me. Healing vibes man.

Welcom to the club, Bro!!!! Sorry for your pain and lost ride time, I was smart, LOL...I crashed at Whiteface and broke my elbow last September, but waited until the pain and swelling was excruciating before I went to the Doctor in December and found out what the problem was...they repaired me with surgury, all better....

man, sucks bro, i feel you!
had a multiple compounded forearm (both bones stickin out),
& the handlbar dug into my lower hand n pulverized the carpal wrist bone.
was out for @ a year, & damn near went friggin nuts not being able to ride.
definately the calcium, bike vids & a good girl will help it all out alot...
n yup -- getting a camera & starting to paparazzi is always a good way to be on the scene
& kickit with your homies when you're on the wounded list!

so you waited around for 2 months with a swelled up albow that you were unable to move before you went to the doctor?

There are some things you dont nede to go to a doctor for but jesus christ.

For Toyota...No, when I got hurt it was all shredded, so I thought it was from that. When it all healed, the swelling wouldn't go down and it stayed irritated inside after the skin healed. That's when I realized something might be wrong. C'mon, what do you think, I'm as stupid as I look????
