    brake noise on P2

i just got my p2 yesterday ,but i took off the front wheel to put it in the car and then i put it back on and it makes a loud hissing noise, its rubbing agianst the pads, i called my LBS and they said to take a flathead and try to wedge the pistons into place or something and it still does the noise. i no that it rubs a little before you break it in but this is loud. By the way its has a 8" Hayes MX2 on the front

either your wheel isnt installed properly, or the caliper is out of alignment.

    ok what
step 1. there is a knob on the right side of the break turn it to move the bad in about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch
    2.press the front break
    3. the bolts on the fron brake itself take them and loosen them
4.keep pressing the fron break lever then retighten thoes bolts
    5. turn the know from step 1 so the pad moves back out

    the simple way

i had the same problem on mine, just loosen the bolts that hold the disk on to the 8 inch adapter, move it around and tighten it were it doesn't rub
