    Boxxer World cup ?

Hey, I kinda just got an offer for a trade, my 06 P.1 Cr-Mo frame for a 2003 Boxxer WC, should I take it up ? I think it would be an upgrade from my Drop off comp ? I was thinking of just putting my P.1 on pinkbike as a "somewhat" complete bike. but at the same time, I would have a lot of extra parts hanging around from my P.1 (could build up an AM bike) and in addition I would have a drop off on my hardtail with a 20mm thu axle ! but at the same time, I could just sell my P.1 and have some extra cash around.

bleh, this is a hard desigeon, because the dropoff on my fully is kinda just because of its size (130mm) what should I do ?

Up until 2006, Boxxers sucked donkey dick.

Sell the P.1, save some more and buy a decent fork. Like a 2006 Boxxer WC

    I'd do it.

I'm riding an '03 Boxxer Team and last year I sold an '03 World Cup that was used for two years by my girlfriend.

Both forks had the steel base value upgrade that was pretty much mandatory cus the '03 internals sucked.

I got my Team last year, brand new cheap cus no one wanted it. I sent it off immediatly for the '04 fix on warranty and now I have a half decent fork.

For sure the new ones are better, but I can't complain too much about what I'm riding.

2003 Boxxer WC was the worst spiking piece of crap I have ever rode. Not worth the trade.

Boxxers still suck in my opinion

I had an '06 boxxer team on my vpfree and i hated it. I tried my best to get used to it, but i just couldn't. I put a 888rc2x on and cant freakin believe the difference. My point is that you should definately keep the p frame and get a better deal. Boxxers just suck.

Dude, Boxxers dont suck. Some years suck more then others but the same thing goes for any shock maker. I had a 04 team and by changing springs, fork oil weight and height I was able to dial it in pretty good for a mid-level fork.

Of course your going to notice a difference between a mid-level fork like a boxxer and a pro level 888. But you pay extra for that greatness. Anyone looking to get a nice light race fork, boxxers are hard to beat unless you want to spend 2 or 3 times the cash.

Hell, if I could ride a brand new fork every time I went for a ride, I bet boxxers would actually feel pretty nice. All I know is that the 888, after three weeks of riding, feels far better than the boxxer did after the same period of time (and yes, i do proper maintenance). That's just my experience. I know that some will like boxxers more than 888s, but show me one person who has had both and prefers the boxxer over the marzocchi. I think you will probably be hard-pressed to find anyone, but who knows, I could be totally wrong here.
