    Boondocks Crash

Had a pretty big crash at the end of Boondocks yesterday. Landed off of one of the doubles and just got my front wheel hung up on something and went flying forward.

    Not feeling to good today!

A little painful to watch (felt like one of my many crashes ). Jump looked good. Did you grab your front brake (subconsciously) as your front wheel got a little squirrelly? I had a couple of crashes like that recently.

Oh i had some issues. I was coughing blood, ski patrol said I probably had a punctured lung. Luckily I ended up with bruised ribs, sprained left wrist (about 10deg of movement in all directions) and i cant move my right knee. Going in for an mri tomorrow.

To top it off this was my first weekend with my new brakes and contour HD

Dymn dude, hope every thing turns out all right. Watching the video, with all that heavy breathing, and moaning....I was starting to get all worked up! I was about to go to my favorite porn site, till I read about how f'd up you got. Kinda killed the mood.

Blown knees arent too bad, they can be painfull but doable. Mine looked like a canteloup in my knee it was HUGE... LOL pretty disturbing but both knees are blow and arthritis is setting in, I predict the weather 2-3 days before a storm....

    Good luck....

Well the funny part is we rode all day friday the 13th without a problem. It's saturday the 14th that's the real kicker. And the crash was file number 13 on the memory card. In all seriousness im not superstitious but my riding buddy is and he was saying I was taunting it haha

Feelin ya man, its never last ride, always one more. I have little tabbos as Im sure most of us do... But yeah the 13th thing is a real kicker especially for the MDR race in Lucern valley... Been to that one and alot of others so it was a real shock as well as friday the 13th...

Everything looked good and then you were trail surfing. Makes me think that those steering dampers might be worth looking in to.

    Have FUN!

awesome how you started with the aftermath and then went backwards leading up to the crash. that crash looked brutal, looks like you'll live to ride another day.

I remember that landing being smooth last time I was there. Looks like maybe there is a pothole there now?? At the beginning of the season I got bucked by that log pile that your face landed on when you crashed. I bruised up my lower abdomen and my junk There were some loose logs laying on top. Hope you are okay.

I dont know man, I had to watch it 3 times cause I just couldnt figrue out how you crashed. It looks like your front landed fine then you went down but watching it again in slow mo it just like there is something funky with you front wheel when the bike is in the air. Kinda looks like your wheel is wobbling. I dont know if its just an optical thing with dirt on the tyre and its rotating but check it out.

Good luck healing up. Sounded bad but the song you were moaning sounded really bad.
    I just want to ride.

Yeah, there was a hole at the end of the cement landing area, and then a short stump on the other side of the hole. My front tire hit that, my right hand flew forward off the handlebars along with my body, and the crash begun!
