    Bigger rims for bigger tires?

I was wondering if I had to get a whole new set of bigger rims if I wanted to get a larger size tire. right now I have a 2.35 size tire and I want to get something bigger like around 2.8

whats the largest size I could possibly get?

what rims??? yeah, if you have like american classics or something, then you would need to upgrade rims, or end up with a floppy tire, but we need to know what rims you are running!
2.35 to 2.8 is a decent jump, why so big? wider manufacturer measurement doesn't always mean better...

might want to check if your fork/ frame will clear the tire?

Wider rims will give the tire a more square profile, narrower rims will give it a rounder profile.
