Big things happening at Seven Springs! (PA)

So the light winter has given us nearly n extra month before opening day (may 25th) and we are rebuilding the entire bike park. all new drainage, re-benching trails, smashing and rebuilding every single feature, all new clay (12 tri-axels so far) and redesigning the parts of the trails that just didn't work. in addition to that we will finally be offering ride and stay packages at the resort and will be running the lifts 7 days a week for the ENTIRE season. so every single day from may 25-october 28th we will be open with lifts running. there are also some major plans in the works for some really cool new stuff to open mid season. check out the park's Facebook page for photos of the work in progress. this season is going to be amazing! oh and passes are only $209 until the end of april.

Edit: Wait, are the trails open on the 25th? Everything else says they open the 26th? I would love to get an extra day in.

I'm not sure. I'll double check on Tuesday. I've been hearing different dates for weeks now and honestly can't remember what the final decision was.

Oh man. Cleaned up is an understatement. The big anchor rock on the side and the boulder with tr drop itself are the only things we did t completely rework. Benched in a new approach, massive drainage work on top, completely new go around rock step section built over the old trench and we redesigned the landing so that you fade to the left off the drop and land in the turn with a nice transition. No more drop to flat and turn 90 degrees with a dinky berm that doesn't actually help. This section has gone from a slow speed cluster**** to a rocket launcher for the garden after it.

First priority is a complete rebuild of the existing park. Come opening day we will have a few reworked/redesigned sections but probably not a new trail right away. What you WILL find is that the trails are in better shape than they have EVER been.the goal is to make the existing network perfect and then add to it. We will be finishing secret stash as well as something really cool and unique through the early part of the season.

I think we are mostly staffed up in the park but if you go to the main seven springs website there is an employment link down at the bottom. The page it takes you to has all the current openings at the resort.

So whats the deal with the ride and stay packages. I cant find anything about it on the website. I would much rather stay at the resort then the crap hotels near by, but the regular resort prices are pretty high.

Holy crap people. I said I'd fix it when I got home. I figured people would rather see the new stuff sooner than later. Guess I was wrong.

Opening weekend was awesome but don't forget we are currently open with lifts running 7 days a week. We had some of the best weather and trail conditions since we started work this spring today. Anyone who wasn't there was missing out.
