    Big Ring Bash Guard?

Are there any other options out there besides this one?

How many teeth are you looking to use? 42? 44?

    If you're using 36, 38 or 40, use a Gamut P40 bash.
    Meh.

I'm looking for a ring that will protect a 44t.

Currently my big ring looks like the kid on imjps's avatar, and I don't want that to happen again when I replace my crankset in the near future.

Instead of a ring, this is probably what you need:

Well, I'm already planning to run this 3-ring guide,
so a full ring seems to make the most sense...

You can run both the MRP guard and the Heim guide. Also, if you run 3 rings, you can't use a bashguard ring. You need to take the outer chain ring off.

So I just bought this thing for $18 on Ebay. It's 110mm and covers a 44t ring. I'm planning to run it with the Heim 3-ring guide. Anyone have opinions or experience with a similar configuration?

It's for a 44t SINGLE ring. If you are using the outside of the spider you're gonna have to by or make spacers to get the bash away from the chainring and cut a HUGE chunk out of the bash to clear the crankarm. After all that the bash ring is going to be sticking out so far it will piss you off constantly.

So, is there a solution for 3 rings, with a bash guard?

I think my Rock Ring thing works with 3 rings but you might have to search for the right size crank bolts since the larger spider hole will be used for the bash, large ring, and middle ring.

QBP (aka Quality Bike Parts catalog at your LBS) Tooth Fairy ring allows you to run a full triple crank plus the bash guard. I used it before I realized I never used my big ring and switched to oversized doubles (24-26 granny / 36-38 middle + bash). While I used it the Tooth Fairy was flawless.

The best solution IMO is the MRP quarter bash dealio someone already showed you.
