BB wont go in starting to strip what to do?

today I was so happy I finnaly got all my parts to finish building the azonic steelhead. so I started putting the bottom bracket in and it was going good it went in about half an inch just with my fingers and then it started getting tough. so I took it ot and it started stripping at the end of the threads. I dont know what the deal is. got any sugestions?

Facing and Chasing the bottom bracket might help you here. Hoping that your threads are still in good shape....chase the threads down there, and try again.

the BB threads (on the frame) may need to chased. Most LBSs have the proper tool.
