you can't buy a new axle ....you will need a new bottom bracket....most likely you will need new cranks too ....get the Saints

if you want a good consumer source for looking up parts available out there --

try www.bti-usa.com it's a wholesale company so you won't be able to buy from them but you can at least check on what shops are able to buy.

Most 68 and 73mm bottom brackets and cranks that I know of are interchangeable between those sizes. once you step up to a 83mm, the crank spindle and bottom bracket sleeve wont be long enough even if you remove any spacers, etc.

Wow, 1/2 the responses had no thought what so ever put in to them! The axle is not available seperately. You will need to buy the 83mm BB. It is too bad they don't offer just the axle.

You should also tell us what crank/bb interface you currently have. Is the bb spindle attached to your cranks or are the crank arms (both or them) seperate from the bb?

You WON'T need new cranks if you can find an 83mm ISIS BB that is long enough to work with Howitzer cranks (other companies ISIS BBs have internal bearings). I'm not seeing one on Truvativ's site so you'll have to do a little searching to see if someone else makes one. If not, you have to buy a new style 83mm external BB and 2 piece crank.
    Keep the Country country.

Howitzer is Truvativ's ISIS setup with external bearings.
