Is there a way you could like make a crazy brace to lock your wrist in place so it couldn't move, and therefore not break? Maybe i'm underestimating the role of the wrist being able to rotate in biking, yea i guess you need it to turn, oh well that sux, take 'er easy,

I know someone who was in the same boat as you, except foot and ankle, he was at the "past the point of return" with healing deal, and choosing to be conservative for about a year has helped him get 10 more years easily of XTREME activity.

Sadly I think that you will still be riding that M3 as your medical bills continue to grow.... I hate injuries.

Are you going to have to end up with bones fused together? My mom ended up with a permanently broken foot and had to have bones shaved and fused and toes trimmed down a bit and such. She was told walking would be hard, at 44 she is still hammering away, looking to get more into downhill this year, if she has time between the aggressive inline skating, hockey and other crap.

    Hope everything goes well.

have you looked into the CTI wrist braces? Chris Van Dine runs one of those after his scafoid break. They look solid to me. Good luck with that.

Sounds to me like you should have gotten a second opinion from a different doctor after the first operation failed (maybe you did, did you?). You can't tell me that there's nothing any doctor can do to fix your wrist.

I feel bad for you but I think you must be completely retarded to ride on it the way it is now. Falls happen and you're risking a lot to be able to ride a few days here and there.

Crazy idea - put a twist throttle body from a dirt bike on the side of the offending hand to permit up and down movement at the wrist area without actually bending the wrist.

That's was a great article on using your own live cells to join bones together.

I'm off to the ortho doctor in the AM to see what my options are for dealing with my separated clavicle.
