    An Art Form?

Though some of you would be interested in my recent Art projects.

I know it should probably be in the General Discussion Forum but I don't use it as much so i'll put it here.

That is some seriously nice work. I would have some printed up and see about setting up a booth at some local races/bike festivals.

The last one is an uzzi VPX- I like the way the crosshatching works.

Does anyone else have any artistic images they'd like to share with the class?

They look pretty neat, but a couple critiques.

For cross hatching, curving your lines slightly gives a better sense of dimension and flow, and makes surfaces looked curved. I'd also work on maintaining a uniform space between your hatching lines, as it smooths out surfaces, rather then adding texture.

The painted ones are good, but they look unfinished. A good tool to learn to use is masking tape to get straight edges. Just brings out the hard curves of the bikes better.

    Otehr then that, good job.
    Stuff.

    Cheers drop Machine.
I'll take that into account. Part of the problem with the painted ones was that the flash on the camera changed what they look like quite a bit (acrylic is quite shiny in some cases) and some of the waves were caused by the paper waving and wrinkling slightly.

Those sketches are awesome. If you had 'em in h-res up someplace where prints could be purchased, I'd buy a couple...

Or do you do commissioned work?

I'd buy a print like this one if sketched...

That's a photoshopped pic of a photo I took at Basic Training at Black Rock trails.

Those are absolutely pheonominal. The way you drew the welds are great! My favorite would have to be the last one in your second post, the one that kinda looks like an SC VP Free.

I like that ski boot, that's some nice tonal work.

Is it gouache or just heavy watercolour/watercolor?
