    Anybody use a homemade fender?

I tried searching, but couldn't find anything...

Looking for something cheap, simple, and effective for my Marzocchi 4x to keep mud out've my face when I'm riding in nastier conditions.

Marzocchi doesn't make a fender that fits my fork. And I've had bad luck with the THE ones before.

    Anybody have a DIY suggestion?

talk to kevin... think he's using a diy one on his Nomad... you can always also go with a fender on the downtube...

nooo... you can't use homemade stuff, people will make fun of you and stuff. you must buy.... everything.

or you could just go with the tube fender between the lower and uper arches, works great if you need a fender in a jiffy at a race, and IMO, works better than an "actual" purchased fender as well.

Last race at Fontucky I made a fender and crap catcher out of a landscaping pot (like a large plastic bucket), that I found along the wall of doom. Worked great and didn't cost me a thing. A booth in the pits wanted $15 for a fender and $10 for a crap catcher...whatever...saved myself $25 and wasted some time waiting for my race!
FWIW I like the 2liter idea (seen it done before) but couldn't find one in time.
