    another fork deal

I ride a Gemini 2000 with a Sherman Breakout + 170 mm and it suits me ok. Rode a buddy's Shiver and loved the plushness of it. I was wondering how smooth the Sherman Slider + would be in comparison to the breakout and Shiver. I know it's not a Shiver, but can't find any closeouts on Shiver, and I like Manitou, plus it's cheaper. Thanks

I have a Breakout+ on my 04 Gemini and have ridden a bike with an 04 Slider+. In my opinion, they don't feel much different and if I'm not mistaken, the internals are very similar if not identical. The 05 Slider+ is supposed to be smoother though because of the new SPV Evolve. My son has a Slider+ on order for his new bike so I'll know for sure in a month or so.

However, I don't think you'll find many (any?) forks as plush as a Shiver. Too bad Marzocchi isn't bringing them in for 05. They're getting rare but a few places still have them:

    Check:

    Hope this helps . . .

The 05 Shiver is certainly being manufactured (I've seen the pictures) but I heard Marzocchi wouldn't be bringing any into North America. Doesn't make any sense to me but then again, I haven't seen any vendor listings for the 05 Shivers.

yeah i'm confused on the shiver thing.
the guy from italy sent me an email saying the 2005 shiver would be available in the us and chad @soul cycles said they wouldn't have it.
god i don't know who to believe.

anyway get the shiver if you can they are more expensive though. i doubt there is anything that comes too close to the shiver...
don't know much about the manitous
