That's the first thing somebody notices???

I was expecting something more like:

"Can a tube tied in a knot really hold a bike secure enough to go for a drive?"

it held good. iv had to do that since then too. hows the ridding been out that way? iv heard nothing but rain lately. ill be down at the end of April, id like to hook up and and ride again. i got rid of my RMX(actually the frame is for sale right now) and built up a Demo 9 DH. the bike is sick. iv been ridding a ton, lots of DJs and made a trip to Bootleg Canyon this last weekend, awsome place to ride. we are going back in 2 weeks, you fellas should meet us out there, its worth the drive.

Some brakes are a open system like in a car so if you flip them upside down and drive down a bumpy road the air in the system will work it's way into the brake line and cause mushy feeling brakes.
Mine are like that but I just don't worry about it and haven't had a issue yet. Although I don't have to flip my bike over every time I go some where to ride.

sometimes you will get air bubbles in the lines that will cause your brakes to fade...most likely will have to bleed them again
