    Air shock on a 951?

    Have any of you had luck? If so, or not, please share what you've used-

    There's a lot of ramp up on that frame. As long as you use a higher end DH air shock I think you can make it work.

    ^Due to the very progressive nature of the frame it wouldn't be ideal but a Vivid Air seems to be the most linear air shock so if you're intent that's the one to use

    Before buying an X2, I talked with both Fox and Intense about this.
    Intense actually said the linkage isn't uber progressive, thus any shock will work just fine on it, and Fox said the X2 will fit(that was also a concern of mine).
    In any event, after two months of riding on my X2, I can say that it is the best DH shock I've ridden on(every other one being a coil). My concern(damping) was that it wouldn't be plush over the chatter, and that's totally untrue.
    I set the damping in the middle, and I can honestly say I've totally forgotten about it, as the back end sticks like glue and sucks up the bigger stuff just as well.
    FWIW, mine is a 2015 951(Evo), the forks are '16 Fox 40s, and I weigh 245lbs.
