after upgrades, its a whole new Gemini (W/ Pics)

I got sick of my Gemini, but couldn't afford to buy a nicer bike, so I just put some cash into the bike and it did the trick. Upgrades are:

    2005 888 RC
E13 SRS guide (I got rid of the dual ring setup)
    Fox DHX 5.0
    Easton Bars

thats it, It feels worlds better now, Geometry and everything, I like a slacked out bike. But the thing that made the most difference was getting that DHX shock in place of the old Vanilla R that came on the bike. Let me know what you think,

It's always great to breathe new life into an older bike. your gemini looks like it's still in great shape. you picked some smart upgrades. now go have a blast.
When under pressure, your level of performance will sink to your level of preparation.

yea, haha, I've got a 32T ring on there now, just haven't had enough time to buy a 38 or 40. I didn't want to go with the STS because this bike has got some serious DH in its future.

Yea, its very close but I'm fairly sure that it won't hit. I measured as best i could, which wasn't that great.

I bought a dhx 5.0 close to a year and a half ago and the blue bottom out knob scrapes the underside of the downtube.

So I just set the knob where I wanted it and took it off with the 2 tiny allen screws. It has'nt hit since. If you are concerned, take the coil off and cycle it through complete travel by pushing down with your hands. If it does'nt hit ...your fine.

Your frame looks like a Large or XL. The clearance is way more evident than my medium.

Do a search...My old photos should be out there. I lost my hard drive so I don't have them any more.

The fox does the Gemini justice. You'll love it.
    Nice build by the way...

Here is my most recent pic, although since then I cracked the rear swing arm and had it warrantied through C-dale with a new 12 mm thru axle version. So now I can't run my rear Dee Max.

why not just place the shock in a different position either upside down or 180 degrees instead of altering it
    ??

back when I put the shock on it seemed to be the best placement option., the only thing that would work.
