    Adjustable Dropout Problem

On my new Identiti Dr. Jekyll is comes with adjustable vertical dropouts. the problem is that i think they have a very thick coat of paint on them so the rear axle on my wheel won't fit in all the way. this isn't cool because i got a bunch of new parts to put on the bike, but now i just put them on my old frame because i'm not missing riding time over this. I am thinking i should just file down the paint a bit and make it fit? has anyone had this problem with any frame before? any ideas besides mine? i want to get it built up but for now i'm sticking with my old frame
