67 owners...Which front derailleur will fit?

I'm finally getting my 67 built up and I got a Sram X-Gen front derailleur to go with the rest of my Sram drivetrain (X.7 shifters & rear derailleur). Well, first of all it doesn't fit on the seattube, with or without the adapter. Second, the swingarm is in the way, so it wouldn't go high enough to shift to the second ring.

My buddy has a Shimano LX BB-mount front derailleur, but I was wondering if that will work with my BB-mount LRP, and whether or not it will work with my X.7 shifter. Help!

    ok

Did some more research and it looks like Shimano is my only option for BB mount e-type top pull. Will this work with my Sram X.7 shifter?
