Hey, you should ask this question in the thread you have already created about forks, no reason to create more than one thread about the same thing.

Also, you might try including some information about yourself and the kind of riding you do/features you like and don't like. Otherwise, it's comparing apples to oranges...

Either one should be fine. Pay attention to the axel-to-head-tube height. I like the 66.

That's an amazing price... I'd go Super T.. unless you're real into doing X ups, etc...

and want to pay way more than 500...

Your not gonna get a 66rc retail for anywhere near that 500 for that Super T, and the super is bad ass fork....

I have an 03, I went to stiffer top srings and changed the oil and have done nothing but ride the crap out of it... it is flawless after it is set up for your weight / riding style, as would be the 66, but ya... see my reason above about that.

    Holy Hell!

The 04's had one hscv and one ssv right?

My delapidated jrt-spr t conversion has dual hscv. You think there is much of a noticeable difference one ssv leg?

The is NO difference in feeling between HSCV/HSCV and the '04 HSCV/SSV Super T.

Has anyone tried both forks? The only decent reasoning so far has been on cost, not on the forks themself.

I'd be interested in hearing how they actually compare, other than "OMG...just get the 04 Super T" because it's $500 at wheelworld (no offense SMT).

I have a friend that works in our shop, he has a 04 SGS Freeride Pro. He is going to get a 66RC for it. Since he's an employee he can get a good deal on the 66, but his main complaints are about the lack of travel on his 6" breakout+ (even though the regular 04 breakout+ had SPV and was 7" of travel, the OEM breakout+ on the 04 SGS Pro was essentially the old 03 model) and the fact that he feels his head angle is too steep. The 66RC will obviously address both of these problems, also it's a much beefier chassi than the sherman. Cost is the main reason that he is going with the 66 over the Super T, obviously I am not going to get into EP prices though.

is it possible to get a Jr. T and change the cartrige to hscv? cause then it would be bassically the same as the super T for a smaller price. i dont think it would have the adjustment of a super T though

actually it would round off to be the same price, but actually more likely more, and also it is a lot of work that would not be half as worth as just buying the super t in the first place.
