    2012 xt

They are available right now, just saw the XT 2012 at my LBS, I'm tempted to get one because of the new heat sink feature on the caliper. Anyone know if the heat sink really works, or just a gimmick?

I've got the XTR with the heat sync and the breaks work very well. I attribute some of that to the heat sync. I've got a 3 mile downhill run that I do, and these breaks work better than any other I've had. There's a tiny bit of fad near the end of the run, but it's nothing compared to the Elixir CR's I used to run, which would get mushy and super hot. Now, at the bottom of the hill, the rotors aren't pinging as they cool. I'd recommend the new XT or XTR over most others.
