The single crown Glory looks pretty sweet, I heard they phased out the Faith and added that freeride oriented Glory to replace it.

I am going to shoot myself if they don't stop changing the shock cradle on the Reigns.

I would have totally waited for an 07 if I knew I could have more shock options.

Doesn't the Reign look just as slack as the Glory in those pics though?

edit - I like them though.

They do, they increased the clearance for resevior shocks.

I don't like when new bikes come out...they make mine feel out-dated . Nice bikes though.

It's really too bad that the folks at giant cant seem to design a bike with an uninterrupted seat tube. I would be all over that reign if i thought i could get full extension out of it for climing. as it is i will probably pick a 7 point or something.

Cant' believe the gorgeos metalic blue has gone!

no pics of the DH glory? the fr one looks nice at first glance it remided me of a demo for some reason, i think they look similar(ish). im still annoyed i dont have my 06 glory - i only got about 10 runs on it, but i had to move on, it was too small

    You're joking - right?

Interesting they changed the top tube only on the freeride ...and to be honest I don't see what's accomplised by adding the bend other than a little more weight and less strength!

I gotta say that i do have a soft spot for the flatter color schemes paired w/ the industrial/urban decal styles.
It puts the lotion in the basket or it gets the hose!

That is the rear shifter cable on the right side of the down tube. See the split near the bars? You can see both cables.

    Does it though?

Follow the line of the top tube. Looks like the freeride has a slightly longer seat tube but the standover's the same.

Could be wrong but the difference is minute either way and I'd rather have a straight top tube.

i think you are right. starting at the top bolt on the rear linkage for reference, the TT's seem to intersect (theoretically (sp?)) the ST at the same point....

Perhaps the curved top tube is for a different sized frame than the one with the straight top tube...kinda like Santa Cruz on some of their bikes.

There's some confusion...what color does the 8" come in?

Are they doing both olive and white? What are the part spec differences?

"The 34-pound Reign X-series with downhill-ish numbers, bomb-proof parts and a roller-guide/dual-ring crankset, that is targeted directly at the freeriding and jumping segment of our sport. The X.0 and X.1 share a beefed up chassis with 6.7 inches of wheel travel. Its downtube shock tunnel is enlarged to clear a piggyback shock. Suspension is handled by a Fox 36 single-crown fork and a DHX Air damper. The X.1 shock is a DHX coil-over model. Giant's Reign duo is positioned well to catch the agressive trailrider--and the part-time freerider. Expect to shell out between $3600 and $2500 to own a 2007 Reign."

    No WHITE for you!!

We got the Giant catalogs in the shop today, seems there is no white pictured at all, only one model to choose from, the sh!t brown color (also refered to as olive, more like brown) w/ the 1.5" OEM marzocchi 66 on it. Sooo soo sad, as the white was bad ass Hopefully I am wrong on this one.

I like the bikes but I think the paint on the DH Glory is pretty cheesy looking .
