2005 Boxxer upgrades? Are there any air kits/plusher things I could do??

Back in the day I remember other shocks I owned had support from aftermarket manufacturers for air kits or "black box" type stuff for these forks.

I am in desperate need of a red spring to help my preload problem but i am wondering if stepping up to a higher rake fork/more modern setup is a better idea. Shock just doesn't feel plush at all despite a recent rebuild from my LBS and in general I was wondering if this is as good as it gets. Just lots of spring noise hitting the lowers...crap like that.

I believe these use stock 10wt Red Rum...are higher weights worth it?

I read through this...my springs are super long and newer Boxxers in the 2006+ years have single springs that are much smaller/supplemented with air.

Not sure this will work with my setup.but thanks for posting. Looks like an uber plush offering!

I'm questioning the worthiness of this upgrade, but: http://www.risseracing.com/forks.shtml Look at the last item.

Information I posted on another thread:

Here is the information from my buddy:

    Black Box:

I purchased the upgrade direct from Rockshocks at the time because no one carried it. I would contact SRAM to get the purchase info on it. It’s still in their parts list so I’m guessing it’s still available.

    Install:

    NSMB info:

    Hope this information helps you.
