Whats the deal with the unofficial? Did they say that he made it 120 feet, but they can't count it because of the crash landing?

It's unoffical because HE DIDN"T LAND IT. Whats so hard about understanding that?

But why call it anything other than a failed attempt? Are they just calling it unofficial to meet half way, like he cleared it, but didn't complete it? Not that big a deal, just curious.

You don't get an unofficial driver's license if you fail the driving test. I think the attempt needs to be successfully completed in order for it to be official.

Spontaneous Human Combustion maybe? He landed, but his body burst into flames?

I'm pretty sure when they say "blew up" they mean his front wheel busted into oblivion. As I can see that's what would happen after you get towed into a jump at 90mph, then flat land your front wheel after a 121 foot gap.
I'm not sure if this is a sort of prediction of what it was going to look like...or if it's the actual jump. But I found it on his site, www.nathanrennie.com

Anyway you look at it...it shouldn't count.

Not if he gets TOWED IN by a friggin motorcycle. Should be the largest gap possible using a gravity run-up or pedal power. Internal combustion engines and mountain bike = cheating.

    Friggin unbelievable gap though!

i find this funny, a bmx'er can do 116 feet with zero inches of squish, but a guy with 10 inches cant land wihtout falling down on a 5 foot bigger gap?

i suppose you could make the arguement that bmx wheels are stronger though.

how the hell would that help? if he had landed it clean like a bmxer has to, it wouldn't have blown up.

hahaha whats the friggen difference.................moto or big hill, your still gonna gonna hit something going friggen fast.........

total BS saying it isnt legal because of moto

it is freaking harder hitting a double like that with moto compared to hitting a Downhill jump after a long arse run in

face it, no one can pedal at 98 kmph.
