    08 glory dh

i will be purchasing a 2008 glory dh very soon but i still cant decide wether to get a medium or a small, i am just about 5'8 and 160lbs. i just dont want to get a medium and be too stretched out, or get a small and be too cramped because i do not know exactly how the sizes run. so help would be greatly appreciated in helping me figure out the best size.

My advice would be to demo both sizes, then decide.

Are you racing DH on it OR are you more of a freerider?

DH I would go with the med
FR I would go with the small

but test them both if you can

yeah if you're spending that much money on a bike you should really demo both sizes before you make your choice...

i would love to demo the sizes but nothing around here carries them in stock. i am thinking i am gonna go with the small, i will be riding dh on it though not a whole lot of freeriding. i will be at places like mt snow, diablo, and highland mtb park

I am 5, 8 and ride a small, when I first got the bike I had to kind of adjust to a small frame but now I love it, more nimble, and easer to control. If you sit down sometimes your knees will hit the top fork crown, id go small if I where you,
But if you are young (I am 15) then I get a medium for growing reasons. In the next year ill get the pleasure of shelling out another $3500-4000, but it is worth it for a reliable bike.

well im 18 and will be 19 in july so im not too worried about growing too much more, im more worried about pumping out the cash and then being with too cramped or too stretched out. im kinda leaning towards the medium thanks to "HighTitan" but more advice would be great because i am still kinda on the fence

I demo'd a Glory today. The medium glory felt as small or smaller than my IH 7point with a 888RC.

Medium would fit you perfectly! I'm 5'10" and the medium felt alitttttle on the small side.

just like i told suzukirider16 in a PM a med. will fit him perfect.

on my large 08 glory the sticker says for riders 5'10-6'2. so with a med. he will be at the peak for med and i feel it will fit a 5'8'' rider the best. i think if he was 5'5'' or 5'6'' he would be better off on a small.

and like someone said before the bike is small and when pedaling sittin down your knees might hit the top crown of the forks, im 5'10 and my large feels awesome. my knees are about 1 inch from the top crown when sitting down pedaling.

i also ride a large STP and a large giant TCR C3 carbon road bike also.

im 6-1" and ride a medium. I think the large is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to large. But I also prefer the smaller sized frames

I am 5'11 and I ride a medium. I hit my knees on the crown if I sit down. This does however promote standing up. (why would you sit down?)

I kind of wish I had a large but I do enjoy being able to throw the smaller size around

Is the medium a 17" or 18"? I'm looking at a Glory right now and all it says is a 17". I'm 5'9 5'10ish with a 30inch inseam. Thanks for any replies.

    Large?

bit of a gravedig sorry... What size for me ? 6'2" with longish reach. Currently on a L bighit with seat right back. Just got an XL Stumpjumper which is the best fitting bike I've had. Only 1 dealer in my town with no L available to test. I'm thinking a Large.
