07' Specialized Big Hit Shock Mount Trick?

Is there a certain way to switch the setting from steep to slack easily on the big hit? My shock is about 2 mm too long and I am having trouble craming the mounting bolt in, do I have to do anything? Specialized manual didn't say jack about it.

    Thanks, Shredder111

i would think if you compressed the shock, or let the air out, filling it back up later of course, should help.

loosen the spring retainer so that the spring moves freely and you can compress the shock without having to compress the spring. that's what i had to do.

Thanks, I tried doing the spring think but I forgot I had pro pedal on so it is pushing the piston back even with the spring loose. I will try taking that off.
