    Spartan BB and crank sizing

    Hi guys.
Am looking at fitting a new hope tech bottom bracket and possibly hope cranks.

Now the problem is what size is the BB and what width are the cranks 68/73 or 83mm.

Donít have the bike with me and looking to order new bits ASAP.

From the website, both Spartan aluminum and carbon use the BB92 BB. BB92 is the same width as a traditional threaded BB and the external cups that go with it, only the cups here are pressed into the BB shell.

So you would need the regular Hope crankset HC105-30, with the 140mm spindle as shown on this chart here. Although you probably could go with the 155mm spindle, if you wanted more clearance. It's only 7mm more per side.

The Hope bottom bracket you would need is the Press-fit 41, 30 mm.

Just finished putting my Hope crankset on my new Django 29 frame, also with the BB92 shell, using this bottom bracket, and it went on like a charm. The clearance is tight between the crank arms and stays, but there's room, and even using a Hope non-boost 28T oval DM chainring, I can still clear the chainstay and rear derailleur cable. Although it's close, and I will probably pick up a boost chainring in the near future. And Hope cranks/BB's spin like buttah.

Provided this isn't an older Spartan that may use a different setup.
