Anybody running needle bearings on their shock?

Looking for any experience with needle bearings on Devincis, specifically a Spartan. Considering it for the high rotation pivot. Did it on my last bike & it was a good experience, but I know some suspension designs are harder on them then others.

I wouldn't expect much of a difference on the Spartan considering neither pivot rotates much at the shock mount. The layout of the suspension pretty much drives the rear shock pivot (higher rotation of the two) directly forward. I could see the advantage on some designs, just not the Spartan so much.

Those thoughts had crossed my mind, as had the fact that the reducer is so long & so direct driven that it may be very hard to keep it from bending/smashing the needles. Found one guy who had that exact problem on a Troy. But it'd still be good to hear from someone who's actually done it.

Nothing moves on the Spartan, look at the first part of this vid. Also down side of needle bearings is you might introduce some flex/play. It would be a waste money/time on your Spartan.

On Devincis vertically mount shock bikes (Troy, Marshall ect..) putting one on the top mount should work great (only need one on top, bottom does not move).

I have one on top mount on my older Atlas and it made a huge difference, had to add 3 clicks of rebound after installing. I could feel less stiction and improved overall smoothness.
