    Michelin Power Cyclocross Mud Tire

I got these on the account of the cool color. But next to my PDX front BOS rear combo, the puny knobs of the green tire arenít very confidence inspiring.

Could it be that mud tires with smaller knobs are better? Does it depend on mud type, soupy v. thicker clay mud? European mud v. US New England mud?

PDX is the gold standard in the mud. I agree, the color is cool though.

The original Michelin Mud tire never was much of an actual mud tire. It was more of an all-around/loose conditions tire, despite the name. A review I read indicated that the new version has slightly shorter knob height than the original, so it's even less of a true mud tire. The PDX or Terra will be better in the slop, but I'd expect the Michelin to be pretty good everywhere else.

Yeah, I sold em on eBay. There was a review somewhere of these tires, and they concluded that the edge grip wasn't that great. It's like a pretty girl that you really want to date, but you know that it won't work out. Lol.
