    Zion 853 EBB Throw

Cool, now I know where to ask my question.

I am wondering how much of a tooth difference the EBB will take up? I am running 36:20, and want to put a smaller freewheel on the flip/flop hub for when I use the bike as a commuter. Is 18 tooth the smallest I can go, or will a 16 work without shortening the chain? Thanks, will post my Zion 96er when I get the digital camera home.

I have done a 2 tooth change without issue.. but I think 4 could be a bit much... but I am just guessing

    Thanks!

I figured at least 2, Shiggy said depending on the chainstay length and gear combo I might be able to get away with 4. I will try the 36:16 and let you know how it works.

    Not quite

The 16t was pretty loose. I am going to try a 17t and see how that fits. If not the 18 will have to do. I'll let you know.
