    Cool-blue Rhythm Zion 660 and 80 mm R7 - will it work?

I'm waiting for my Zion 660 to arrive from Jenson, going to bulid it up with some semi-nice parts and a Manitou R7 80 mm. I've seen some posts about the geometry of the Zion, and I'm a bit concerned that the fork will cause a steepish head angle of 72-73 degrees.

I know that Jenson states a head angle of 71.5 with a 80 mm fork, but I have seen the test from MBA stating a 72 degree ha with a 100 mm fork?

Anyone got experience with a similar setup? Opinions much appreciated.

    Cheers!

while I don't have your exact setup, I have a 660 with the 100mm R7 and I can tell you that the head angle feels slack for modern standards. I actually prefer it that way, I would guess that the 80mm R7 would be fine.

Ok, sounds good, apparently the numbers that MBA stated in their test are a bit off, so I guess I will end up with a head angle around 71 degrees. Typical XC in other words, and just where i want it to be.

I will post when I've got the frame and built it.
