New question here. XCL Tire Clearance and Frame weight

Anyone know the max tire size on a XCL?

    Medium frame weight?

Don't know the MAX, but I just put on a 2.4 Mutano raptor with no problem.

I have been told that the new XCL's will be lighter than last years...not sure how much. I think the weight on the XCL will be marginally higher than a similar bike in its class, but the XCL will be stronger and stiffer as well. Also, the new chainstays are asymmetrical...not sure how that affects tire size, but it may increase rear stiffness too.

    They are not out yet.

A little birdie told me they should be available around the end of April.

    Guys thanks.

How about some figures direct from Chumba. I'm on a Motolite now, which is very nice, but rear tire clearance is an issue for me.
