Planning on ordering a Curtlo Epic 29er. Debating which geometry to design around 80 vs 100mm fork. Was thinking 100 what esp. with the new fox 29er fork coming out.
I'm a short guy, so I'm still running 26" wheels. I chose to stick with 80mm of travel; I'm running a Fox F-80. Don't know about your riding style/preferences, but I feel that most folks these days tend to run way too much travel. I would suggest that you ask Doug Curtis for his input.
A word of advice; "Good things come to those who wait!"
Yeah, that's what you're paying Doug to do - to come up with the geometry for your new custom bike.
1224 is right - don't forget that a 100mm 29er fork puts your bars 20mm higher than a 80mm fork, which shorter people already struggle with in terms of getting their bars low enough so people don't mistake their bikes for a beach cruiser
No longer member of the bike industry nor society, so don't hassle me.
